General Introduction to Henan Province
Henan is located in the South of Yellow River of China whose name means the "South of the River". Neighboring Shanxi to the north, Hubei to the south and Shandong on the northeast, Shaanxi to the west, Henan Province covers an area of 60,000 square kilometers and the population of 92,560,000. Henan has a long history which blessed it with rich and full cultural and historical relics which can be daated back to Zhou dynasty. Famous attractions in Henan are Shaolin Temple, Songshan Mountain, Longmen Grottoes and so on. Kaifeng is the most popular tourist destination in Henan province.

Henan has a humid and warm climate. The Winter and Spring in Henan is dry and windy, while the summer is hot and rainy. The annual temperature which increases from about 12.8C in the north to 15.5C in the south. The best time to visit Henan is in Autumn.
Henan is famous for it Shaolin culture. The world famous Shaolin Temple and Shaolin Kungfu are in Henan province. The long history of Henan left Henan a rich cultural and historical relics. The well known Longmen Grottos and Baima Temple both located in Luoyang, Henan province.
There are many famous tourist cities in Henan, such as Kaifeng, Luoyang, Pingdingshan, Shangqiu, Xinxiang, Xinyang, Zhumadian and so on.
